Pruning is an Art. Anyone can cut a tree, but not everyone can do it well! This section contains examples of poor tree trimming that I’ve come across. Not only are these trees ugly, but many become stressed and/or sick and may die.
Tree butchering…sadly common:
All thats left here are crowded, weak branches and sprouts. So ugly!
This Cherry is now mostly sprouts, branch stubs and dying branches. There is no natural shape left to the tree.
The branch here wasn’t removed properly and its heavy weight tore the bark down the trunk leaving a big scar.
Way too many side branches were removed on this Linden and the cuts are very sloppy.
These Crabapples had all of the branch buds removed, so it will spout off of the remaining limbs if it is to survive.
This Oak tree was topped and it will sprout heavily and weaken over time.
